BIOGRAPHY

Ella Kennin is a sculptor currently based in Memphis, Tennessee and will receive their BFA in Studio Art at the University of Memphis in the spring of 2023. They were awarded a full scholarship through the 2019 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. In addition to having several public pieces in Memphis, Kennin also had a solo exhibition at 409 South Main Gallery in 2019 and their work has been shown in regional Scholastic exhibitions, L Ross Gallery in Memphis, TN, and Harding School of Theology. As a BFA student, Kennin works with wood and ceramic as they explore what it feels like to inhabit the human body through material. At the University of Memphis, Kennin works as a Wood and Metal Shop Assistant Technician.
